Identification Policy

Brand and Part-Number Identification Policy

How PartsGo uses manufacturer names and part numbers as factual RFQ identifiers while excluding contaminated or ambiguous records.

Brand and MPN are identification facts

A manufacturer name and part number may be used to identify the component a buyer wants reviewed. Their appearance does not establish stock, authorization, ownership, compatibility, or a commercial relationship.

Review standard

  • Identification and RFQ matching only
  • Complete reference preserved
  • No inferred manufacturer relationship
  • No public commercial assumption

Contaminated identifiers are quarantined

References containing addresses, city or country suffixes, source metadata, copied descriptions, prices, availability language, or malformed encoding are excluded from public indexing until corrected and reviewed.

Review standard

  • Geography leakage rejected
  • Descriptions removed from MPN fields
  • Source URLs and commercial text rejected
  • Manual review before republication
